Katie O’Dunne Kilpatrick

    Age Group:  25-29
    Height: 5’5″
    Location:  Atlanta, GA
“Real” Job: Academy Chaplain and Comparative Religions Teacher at Woodward Academy
Multisport Background: DI Cross Country/Track Captain at Elon University; switched into triathlon in 2012 and started racing for Team Podium in 2013 🙂
Personal Bests/Top Results: Racing with Team USA at 2015 Sprint World Championships in Chicago & 2016 Draft Legal World Championships in Cozumel! Looking forward to a completely different season with my first Ironman this year!
First Triathlon: Lifeguard Triathlon (very random – I’m not a lifeguard) in Ocean City, MD (forgot to switch my swim cap and helmet when getting on the bike – classic mistake)
Triathlete Inspirations: I grew up watching my dad (Peter O’Dunne) work, train, and compete in Ironman, while still being an awesome dad. I got into endurance athletics to be like him!
Favorite Race: The old Age Group Nationals venue in Milwaukee – amazing venue, awesome people, fast course!
Post Race Meal: A very random assortment of cravings – grapes, peanut butter, and popcorn. Pretty much whatever as long as I’m eating it with my other half (Sean Kilpatrick – also a TP racer!)
Favorite Part About Racing For Team Podium: The supportive community/family I’ve found in my Podium teammates! 🙂
