Live the life of a professional athlete for a weekend by joining us at our Gaps Climbing Camp. Your coaches have one goal in mind – making you the best you can be.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A weekend focused on training without all the daily pressures or distractions that surround you. You’ll wake up to a healthy breakfast and head out to your bike which is tuned and ready to go. Want to try out a new choice for nutrition? Mix up a bottle or grab some packets on the way out the door. Get live feedback from an experienced coach while out on the road and if you have a flat or need a refill, our SAG support will arrive within minutes.

When you’re not training, you’ll learn valuable information that you can apply to your training, loosen up from a long day with yoga led by the experts from Infinity Yoga, dine on nutrient-rich meals and enjoy a community of like-minded individuals.

This trip is all-inclusive so you don’t need to worry about housing, commute times or directions. Once you arrive, we’ll take care of everything.

Schedule

Thursday

Arrive between 2 and 5 pm. Check in and get your bike checked out so it’s ready to ride. You can add optional services like saddle fits, hydration system installation or one on one yoga instruction this day. We’ll start with dinner as a group and get an overview of the weekend and best practices for climbing.

Optional add-ons Thursday: VO2 Max Testing or Cycling Video Analysis and Feedback.

Friday

After enjoying a hearty breakfast get ready for some climbing. Today we’ll divide into groups and take on the 3-Gaps ride. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned climber, you’ll get valuable feedback and a challenging day in the mountains. Return for a healthy lunch and then an optional afternoon trail run or hike before a late day session with mobility session. Finish the day with a group dinner and time by the campfire.

Saturday

Today we’ll tackle some of the tough climbs of the North Georgia Mountains with the Six Gap Ride.  Average ride time will be approximately six hours. We’ll return from the ride for a hearty lunch and some time for relaxation and an athlete-focused session with Infinity Yoga before our group dinner.

Sunday

Start your morning with Infinity Yoga and then head out for a trail run before we head out the door by noon.

Housing

We have reserved the Hiker’s Hostel in Dahlonega, GA. The Hiker’s Hostel is a well-known Eco-tourist destination spot for hikers, cyclist and nature lovers in the Southeast.

All options are first come, first serve. We’ll update as we sell out.

Shared Bunk Room (10 available -6 men/4 women) – $300

Private Room:

  • Double Occupancy – $400 per person
  • Single Occupancy – $650

Log Cabin (one queen room, one double futon):

  • Triple Occupancy – $400 per person
  • Double Occupancy – $450 per person

Container Cabin – Double Occupancy – $500 per person

If no roommate preference is given, you will be assigned a same-sex roommate for all rooms booked based on double occupancy.

Camp Only – No Housing – $150

Do you have a preferred housing option in North Georgia? Join us for the camp only. Everything is included except for breakfast each morning. You’ll just join us after breakfast each morning and head out after dinner each evening.

Optional Add-Ons

VO2 Max Testing with Carrie Smith  $100 (limited availability)

VO2 testing is a valuable tool for athletes to assess performance and evaluate the effectiveness of training regimens. It measures your anaerobic threshold and reports your unique target intensity zones. Knowing these zones helps you to optimize your intensity and maximize your results. Appointments available on Thursday and you can implement your test results during the weekend.

Cycling Video Analysis & Feedback – $100 (limited availability)

Spend an hour with one of our expert coaches where you will get video analysis on flat road cycling, cornering, climbing and descending. Learn individualized techniques that will improve your cycling and help you ride more efficiently.
